<p>Now, if my bankcard would work at most stations when I really need to buy a metrocard&#8230; I&#8217;d be a happy camper.</p>

<p>Then you get numerous messages about when there is a sick customer, or a smoke condition, or whatever.  They are nice enough to alert you again when it clears up.  Not 100% sure how timely it is, but it seems to be improved.  This could save you that horrible hourlong wait for a train that isn&#8217;t coming.</p>
